So much to blog about...

... I have been busy getting ready for the Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton, Calif., (Bay Area) next week and have been a little behind in my blogging. However, I will make up for it now! I've got lots to report...

New K2R Rubber Stamps!

I am proud to annouce that we will be launching Kits2Remember rubber stamps next week. They are now available in the K2R online store, and will ship out by the end of March. We have 11 different flourish designs, all cling-mounted for use with an acrylic block or panel, ranging in price from $8-$3 each, so they are quite affordable. They are sold individually and have been designed to be used beautifully on non-porous surfaces such as acrylic and metal, although they work quite nicely on traditional media such as paper and cardstock. My sister-in-law, Gina, is a graphic designer and helped me to put into reality what my mind wanted made. I am using stamps more and more in my projects and love this collection of flourishes. There are whimsical ones, corner shapes, border-ish shapes and more. Stay tuned in the next few days and I will post some of the projects I have created using them. Plus, if you do get some of the stamps, please visit the Kits2Remember Tips and Tricks page for some helpful hints when stamping. Here are a few more of the designs. The entire collection can be found here.

We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper!

I love this tool! And since you can punch two different sizes of corners (1/4-inch and 1/2-inch) with the same squeeze of the handle, it's a great value at $25! Not only can you corner round individual pieces of paper and cardstock, but the Corner Chomper is also strong enough to corner round acrylic, chipboard, leather, thin metal and more! This tool was just released at the Craft and Hobby Association's winter show in January, but won't ship until April. If you are interested in getting this tool, you can preorder it in the Kits2Remember online store and we'll ship it right to you when it comes in! We R Memory Keepers was kind enough to ship me a demo tool, so my husband, Rodney, and I spent some time playing with it (you know men and their tools!).

We found that the sizes were true 1/4-inch and 1/2-inch corners, not the closest metric measurement, which is nice when you are trying to match the rounded corners of other products. The "chomped" corners were smooth and clean, whether it was used on paper or acrylic.

And the handy-dandy compartment in the center held the "chomped" corners until you cleaned it out - no mess on your work space. I love that!

The Chomper also simple to use. Just gently pop open the "wings" which form guides for your corner, and then squeeze the handle. If you have used the Crop-a-dile before, the Chomper is very much like it as far as feel and strength. I also haven't had a problem with it jamming.

If you happen to be attending the Bay Area Scrapbook Expo, we'll have the test Chomper there, so give it a whirl and you can pre-order at the show!

March Classes!

I will be teaching three different projects this month, in Southern California, Northern California and Pensacola, Fla. Please check out the Kits2Remember calendar for dates and places. There is a cute double-sided (spring butterflies on one side, Easter egg on the other!) 12 x 12 acrylic and metal magnetic message board project, an 8 x 8 acrylic album and a two-panel magnetic message board project. Not only will you walk out of the classroom with a great, completed project, but you will also leave having learned new skills and techniques!

Yahoo! Contacts

Recently, my Yahoo! email contacts were completed erased. If we email each other upon occasion, or have contacted me recently about volunteering at upcoming Expos, would you please send an emaik to jessica@ kits2remember.com so that I may add you to my contact list again. I would truly appreciate it!

OH MY GOODNESS! Loving the stamps. I love that you have different patterns and sizes so they can fit in corners, along the side and anywhere else for that matter. I can't wait to get some. And the corner rounder. I have been waiting for someone to come up with a tool that has it all in one. So how great is that. I have been looking for one and still not out there yet. Guess I will be waiting for them to be available on your site!
